TASMA ANNUAL MEETING
Friday, December 4, 1998

Chairman Larry Bryant, N6YLA, called the meeting to order at 1930. There were sixteen members who signed in and two visitors. Everyone in attendance introduced them selves. There were no minutes from the November 1998 meeting.
Treasurers Report, 1998: Bob Thornberg, WB6JPI
Jane Avnet, KD6ODV, moved the Treasurers report be approved, seconded by Allan Avnet,
AB6UB. Motion passed with 16 for, zero opposed, zero abstaining.
Committee Reports:
- Tech Committee: Al Avnet, AB6UB
The Tech Committee meets monthly. There was almost no business last month. There will be no meeting in December, no business.
Newsletter Editor: Jane Avnet, KD6ODV
About 600 newsletters were mailed. As of the meeting 70 were returned. All but one was
from the Karl Pagel repeater database. The mass mailing was to publicize the new Band Plan
and to encourage repeater owners to be more active in TASMA and former members to
rejoin. Five people renewed and four new members joined so far as a result of the mailing.
Treasurers report, 1997: Bob Thornberg, WB6JPI
Difference in ending balance 1997 and beginning balance 1998 were deposits made in December
after the meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The Band Plan proposal: Sybil Albright, W6GIC
The ATV group has asked that the words "simplex talk back" be added after 144.345 ATV and "repeater talk back" be added after 146.430 ATV. After a discussion by the group, the proposed Band Plan was passed as published. Motion made by JaMi Smith, KK6CU, seconded by Jim Keck, N6JIM. 16 votes for, zero opposed, one abstaining. Mail-in ballots: 14 for the band plan, one against, one abstaining. The proposed verbiage will be published on the web page and in the newsletter.
Election of officers: There were no nominations from the floor or in the mail-in ballots. Jensen Woods, AH6MX, made a motion that the following people are elected by acclimation:

NEW BUSINESS:

Question on the new dues structure: How much do we owe? The expiration date on her mailing label is incorrect. Information will be corrected when the database is brought up to date with the membership data for the last six months.
Jim Fortney, K6IYK:
Question on how many paid TASMA members there are on the database: 168 people on the
database, can't give an accurate count of active members until the last six months' member
information is updated.
