Minutes of the Oct. 13, 1998 Technical Committee Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by the Chairman, Allan Avnet, AB6UB, at the Ontario Fire Department.
- From the audience: NW0A, Joseph Sabotis, brought up the problem between Crescenta Valley and the Pamona Repeater. It was decided by the Committee that the Secretary should write a letter to Frank Westphal, KF6E, telling him that the Tech Committee recommends that he put PL 123.0 on the Pamona repeater, and letting him know that the Crescenta Valley Club will purchase the PL for him and will install it if desired.
- The Beckman ARC was given a test status last meeting. They have been testing for two years, so it should have been a final coordination. The committee voted to grant final coordination to Beckman ARC repeater on 147.285/147.885.
- After a few comments for changes and spelling corrections, a form to be used by the Secretary to notify co-channel users was approved.
- A letter with a system diagram was received from the Hilltop ARC. After going over the Original RFC, the Technical Committee voted to grant approval for a return to test coordination with 25 watts approved for input to the antenna.
- Regarding the interference on simplex frequency by N6RKK on 147.585, the Technical Committee voted to direct the Secretary to write a letter to Orval Hansen, WU6O, statingthat there is no repeater coordinated to that frequency.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM. Sybil Allbright, W6GIC
