The minutes of the previous meeting were read several small corrections were made, and the minutes were approved as corrected.
Since the decision was made to attend to the people present before the regular agenda, the first item discussed was the 146.025/146.625 (Crescenta Valley Amateur Radio Club) interference problem from W6ELZ in Pamona. The representatives from Crescenta Valley stated they would even purchase a PL and install it on the offending repeater if it could be arranged. This item will be continued and Don Moberly will contact Frank Westphal (KF6E), the designated Technician of the W6ELZ repeater.
The next person recognized was a representative of HAARC. After a long discussion, a motion was made and passed (7 for, 1 against) to put HAARC on a one year test on the 147.345/147.945 pair with a review in 3 months, and with the provision that no final coordination will be granted until HAARC gets off of the 145.120 frequency and there are no interference complaints received by TASMA from any co-channel repeater owner. Notify co-channel users. Due to several discrepancies on the application, Bill Smith, KB6MCU, will help them correctly fill out the application. Send Gabriel Rivera a letter outlining the decision.
A one-year test was granted to the El Cajon Amateur Radio Club to go on 146.475/147.420 to start when they notify us that the repeater is on the air. However, TASMA reserves the right to change the frequency if a standard frequency becomes available and the unstandard above frequency is no longer available for repeater use. Notify co-channel users.
Hilltop Repeater, 147.630/147.030, continued for 30 days more to respond to the letter of July 15, requesting a response within 30 days.
A motion passed to grant a one-year test to Benigno Salmeron on 147.675/147.075 in Littlerock, California. Notify co-channel users.
Update accepted for 147.795/147.195 repeater on San Clemente Island. Notify co-channel users.
Regarding the 147.135/147.735 Santa Barbara repeater owned by Thomas Merideth, KD6REG, the secretary was instructed to write a letter asking whether the frequencies 147.735 out, and 146.730 are being tested continuously and simultaneously or not. Also, if there is a change in trustee or location, KD6REG must notify TASMA and a new test will have to be approved.
The update RFC for Beckman ARC on 147.285/147.885 was continued until next month until Larry Bryant can obtain the original RFC.
Change of trustee for 145.120 RTTY, letter sent by WA6ISG, was continued so the Secretary can send new forms and request a letter from the former trustee or documentation that the old trustee is not able to sign a letter relinquishing the frequency. Also discussed was the fact that with the update of the Band Plan, the use of RTTY should be moved to the digital portion of the band.
Regarding the CORA repeater on 145.18 Mt. Woodson and the 145.120 box taken over from Ted Demos: Send forms and request a letter from Ted Demos regarding giving the 145.120 to CORA.
Acknowledge letter from Ray Cardenas and Rene Santo. Delano is not in TASMA jurisdiction.
Robert Mantell, W3TGG. Ask Karl about the fact that Mr. Mantell has said that Karl has all the information needed.
W1CDM on 145.440 will be sent a letter telling them that their coordination has been withdrawn due to long time unresolved interference to repeaters in the Los Angeles basin, because W1CDM was told at the time of their coordination that the signal must be shielded from the Los Angeles basin.
Sybil Allbright, W6GIC
TASMA Technical Committee Secretary
