Bill Carpenter's letter regarding interference from two repeaters in San Diego was read and the reply from KN6NA in San Diego. It was decided that the secretary should send two letters, one to KN6NA stating that since they are uncoordinated they should send TASMA an RFC. The Secretary will send them one. Also, the committee asked the secretary to send a letter to Bill Carpenter asking him to send in an updated RFC including a block diagram of all receiver sites.
HAARC, on Oat Mountain on 147.345/147.945, KF6JWT. People present at the meeting were given a new RFC to fill out and it will be on the agenda next month. Also, the secretary will send a copy of a letter from Joe Provenza, LAOOC, to HAARC, P.O. Box 330453, Pocoima, CA 91333.
Regarding interference to Crescenta Valley on 146.625/146.025, the people are now working together, according to Don Moberly. Thee is no longer a problem with Beach Cities. The record states that there is no PL on the Crescenta Valley machine. TASMA will wait and see if the people involved can work out the problem.
Regarding Chuck Wood's repeater on 147.795/147.195 on San Clemente Island, a motion to table this RFC and get the record for everyone on this frequency was passed. Also discussed was a site agreement regarding this location.

The RFC from KD6REG in Santa Barbara, on 146.73 was discussed. It was decided to send a letter stating that TASMA would agree to put this system on test with power not to exceed 25 watts to the base of the antenna. Also, ask KD6REG what the status is on the test on 147.735. Should TASMA rescind or maintain it.

Regarding E-mail from Tony Blackwood, K6RUT, OO in Orange County, stating interference from KA6DLX which is interfering with W6TJ, it was decided the secretary should send a letter to Mr. Blackwood stating that KA6DLX is not coordinated.
Not on the agenda, but brought forward by George Rios, with the record supplied by Larry Bryant, was the original RFC for a repeater in Chula Vista on 145.26 on Sharp Hospital, George stated that he has received no reply to the RFC, the letters he has written to TASMA in several years that the repeater has been operational. George was asked to send in an update, and he was granted final coordination. Co-channel and adjacent channel users will be notified. One repeater that has been coordinated after George's RFC was sent in was a repeater on the same channel in Vista. There is doubt that this repeater is on the air. A letter will be sent stating that it is the understanding of TASMA that they have not put the repeater on the air although they were granted a test in March, 1998. The letter should also state that TASMA is withdrawing the test coordination for the Vista repeater.
A number of items that have come in to the Secretary in the last week before the meeting were carried over to next month. The agenda is usually cut off by one week before the meeting so that copies can be e-mailed to the Technical Committee members, so it is advisable for people to send in items by August 4, 1998 if they are to be addressed by TASMA at the August 11 meeting.
Sybil Allbright, W6GIC
