Reference: Agenda For Meeting
All amateurs who had scheduled business before the technical committee were notified of the meeting by e-mail.
TASMA Chairman, Bob Dengler, acted as facilitator for this meeting.
- Call To Order and introduction of the presents started at 7:02 P.M.
- The order of the agenda was changed to invert the order of the items from 4 to 9. The items were taken in the following order (from the original agenda): 1, 2, 3, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, database report, 10, 11, 12.
- The minutes for the December 8, 2001 T.C. meeting were read by the presents, and they were approved by a vote of 5-0 (motion by Howard (KG6GI) and second by Matt (W6KGB)).
- KA6BFB (146.175+) Guadalupe. This repeater will be located in the northern part of the TASMA territory around two miles from NARCC territory, and the original RFC requested 146.775-, which is an inverted pair according to the TASMA band plan, but correct for the NARCC band plan. Dave (KA6BFB) agreed to invert the pair to comply with the TASMA band plan. A motion to issue a test coordination for nine months on the 146.175 pair, starting in 30 days, and conditional to NARC approval, was agreed on a vote of 5-0 (motion by Mike (KF6RQV) and second by David (KC6ZQR)). Bob (NO6B) will be contacting NARCC by email to secure their approval for this coordination.
- KE6TOI (146.940-) Newbury Park. A six month test coordination was approved on a vote of 5-0 (motion by Mike (KF6RQV) and second by Randy (KC6HUR)).
- W6KGB (146.730-) Oxnard. A full coordination was approved on a vote of 4-0-1 (motion by Howard (KG6GI) and second by Randy (KC6HUR). Matt (W6KGB) abstained from voting, because he is the trustee of the system.
- W6KGB (147.735-) Oxnard. This RFC was withdrawn by the owner (Matt -- W6KGB).
- W6HEM (146.805-) Hemet. This system has been off the air for more that six months. A 60 days notification was mailed in July 29, 2001. A motion to terminate the test coordination was approved on a vote of 5-0 (motion by Mike (KF6RQV) and second by David (KC6ZQR)).
- KD6QLT (146.160+) Palm Springs. This review was tabled until the next technical committee meeting.
- Database report. Howard (KG6GI) presented the current status of the database review and the ARRL submission.
- Band plan discussion. There was a short discussion on the band plan, and the need to dedicate a pair for portable repeaters was identified.
- New Business. Mike (KF6RQV) explained that he will be on vacations and out of town during the month of March; therefore, he will not be able to take the minutes of the next TC meeting.
- Adjournment at 9:53 P.M. by vote of 5-0 (motion by Mike (KF6RQV) and second by Matt (W6KGB)).
