Minutes of the Technical Committee Meeting of January 16, 2001
As a result, the proposed Technical Committee will now work on revising a document that can be found at http://www.tasma.org/interf/rfc-05.pdf. This document is titled "Request for Coordination Procedure". It's our intent to revise & extend this document in order to make it a sort of "constitution" for the Technical Committee. With this in place, the subjective way in which the Technical Committee is currently allowed to operate will be eliminated. I invite you all to look at the existing procedure & submit comments to no6b@rptrlist.w6jpl.ampr.org. Again, much "hacking" & adding will probably be needed to produce a document that the Technical Committee can actually operate under & is acceptable to the general membership. This is quite an undertaking, especially for the start of the year when we're still trying to complete the transition from the previous Technical Committee. However, it's all part of a process that will result in TASMA gaining much more respect & recognition as a frequency coordinator & spectrum manager not just in Southern California, but across the entire nation as well.
