Minutes of the Technical Committee Meeting of June 13, 2000

Present: Rob Hanson W6RH, Steve Hennessee W6UMR, John Cordle KF6XY, Mary Cordle N6KHR, Pat Finke KC6ACL, Jensen Woods AH6MX, TASMA Chairman Jeff Reinhardt. Excused absence: Alan Avnet

1. Chairman Reinhardt called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.
2. Minutes of May 9, 2000 were approved. Minutes from April are still in need approval.
3. Committee member Hennessee submitted a list of repeaters he checked for operation. List will be forwarded to Chairman Avnet and Secretary Pagel.
4. Per May meeting; RFC for W6HEM (proposed call) 146.805- portable repeater in Hemet: Applicant submitted copies of club license. Copies will be forwarded to Chairman Avnet and Secretary Pagel.
5. RFC from KD6QLT for 146.76- Palm Springs was tabled until next meeting.
6. 147.855 KF6XY: John Cordle announced that the one-year test of the relocated repeater is being prematurely terminated due to interference problems. He reports that the repeater is being returned to its previous site and that it will be under the control of WA6ZMZ, the previous owner. The Committee recommends that a RFC be sent to WA6ZMZ.
7. Discussion held on NFCC activity, specifically the meeting NFCC representatives had with Ms. Terry of the FCC
8. Discussion held on the notion of digital repeaters and how they would be accommodated. Item recommended for the agenda at a general membership meeting.
9. Discussion held on the importance of Technical Committee attendance.
10. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
